If you have recently registered but did not get a welcome email, don't worry. The email system seems to be on the fritz, and this bug is being looked into. It may come after several hours, or not at all. In the meantime, you still will be able to log in, so don't worry if you didn't receive it.

This also affects the "Forgot my password?" link, as it emails you. We should get this all hammered out pretty quickly, but in the meantime, you can use the "Contact us" form to request help, if you need it.

The monthly STDC has been delayed one week to Sun, 1 August. We are sorry for the short notice, and hope to see you all there.

Hello! I am rolling out a few new features for the home page, here.

Firstly, we now have the ability to comment on news posts. You can see individual news pages, along with any comments on the news post, by clicking on the news title, or by clicking on the comment count link underneath the post. You can view what other people have said, and post your own comments, there. You may also edit and delete your own posted comments, should you so choose.

Secondly, we now have an RSS feed! Currently, it will notify you of any new site news that appears on the front page. It should be handy to keep abreast of site and server updates, and hosted events, such as STDC. You can subscribe to the RSS feed by clicking the RSS icon above, or by clicking the RSS feed link in the sidebar.

Also, I would like to apologize to those who have been having trouble connecting to chat. We had issues with our servers. They should be alleviated for now, so if you previously weren't getting on, you should be able to get on, now. We hope to not have things like that in the future. Again, sorry for any difficulties.

As promised, here are tonight's topics:

• Has your self-identified theriotype changed since you first recognized it? Why do you think this is; were you quick to rush to judgement, and if so, what made you refine your knowledge of your own theriotype?
  


• There have been differing opinions on how much terminology should be used to describe the different types of therianthropy. Do you feel such divisional names and terms are helpful, or do you feel they cause more confusion from new entrants into the community?
  


• How accessible do you feel the therian community is? If you feel it is difficult to join the community initially, what suggestions might you have to others to help make the therian community more friendly to new people while ensuring the community is not overrun by people posing as therians or rushing to judgement about themselves?
